The GEP C1 Exam tests the students’ ability to understand and follow extended speech on abstract or complex topics as well as recognize a wide range of idiomatic expressions and colloquialisms.
Students who successfully pass the GEP English Exam C1 can follow extended speech even when it is not clearly structured and when relationships are only implied and not signaled explicitly.

In general, the GEP C1 Exam tests a student’s ability to listen and easily follow complex interactions in group discussions and debates, even on abstract, complex unfamiliar topics.
The student must be able to identify the attitude of each speaker in a discussion, digressions, and colloquialisms that are delivered at a natural speed.
